St Josephs Convent School Shivpur Varanasi celebrated Independence Day 2026 with great patriotic spirit enthusiasm and pride The programme was graced by Fr Anand IMS as the Chief Guest The celebration brought together students and staff in a meaningful tribute to the nation and to the sacrifices of our freedom fighters The programme began with an introduction followed by a prayer for the country and the National Pledge The Flag Hoisting Ceremony was then conducted followed by the singing of the National Anthem creating an atmosphere of patriotism and unity The Welcome Address was followed by a series of cultural and patriotic presentations by students from different sections of the school Aao Karein Rashtra Vandan set a patriotic tone for the celebrations An English Speech was presented by Prisha Singh of Class IV A highlighting the importance of Independence Day and our responsibilities as citizens The Senior Wing presented The Kargil Saga remembering the courage and sacrifice of the Indian armed forces This was followed by a lively Musical PT presentation The Senior School Choir presented Shaheedon Tum Gagan Ke Chaand paying tribute to the brave martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation A poetry presentation titled Swaadenata Ka Sankalp was presented by Sakshi Singh of Class XI B inspiring everyone to uphold the values of freedom responsibility and patriotism The Junior Wing presented the folk dance Maahi Aaye Mera Desh showcasing Indias rich cultural heritage A patriotic skit by the Senior Wing titled Bharat Ki Beti further added meaning and emotion to the celebration The Chief Guest Fr Anand IMS addressed the gathering and shared an inspiring message on patriotism national unity responsibility and the importance of becoming responsible citizens His words encouraged the students to contribute positively to the progress of the nation A special distribution of awards to the National Karate winners was also held recognising the students for their achievement discipline dedication and hard work The cultural programme continued with a spirited dance presentation of Vande Mataram by the Senior Wing which filled the atmosphere with patriotic enthusiasm The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Kushagri of Class XII Science followed by the Slogan The Independence Day celebration was a memorable occasion that beautifully combined patriotism cultural expression student talent and appreciation for national service The programme successfully instilled in the students a deeper sense of love for the country respect for its heroes and commitment to building a better India
