St. Joseph’s Day 2011 :- This Saturday was an auspicious day for the Josephians as they celebrated the St. Joseph’s Day to commemorate St. Joseph, the foster father of Jesus Christ.
Sr. Gracy, Mother General of the congregation of the sisters of OLP, was the chief guest for the occasion. The day witnessed the inauguration of the new building in the junior school by the honourable chief guest.
The next part of the program took place in the senior school. Srijan of class XII welcomes the guests, Sr. Gracy, Sr. Meera (the manager) , Sr. Theresa (Principal), Sr. Lovely (Head Mistress) and Sr. Mercy.
The students of class XII garlanded the statue of St. Joseph. The choir group kept all spell bound on the melodious tunes of ‘Most Glorious St. Joseph…. Son of David’. This was followed by knowing the ISC and ICSE toppers by the Hon’ Chief Guest, Sr. Gracy. The all-rounders of all the classes (2010-11) were also awarded with mementoes and certificates. The sinuous dance performance by the girls of class VI and a Tableau on corruption by the student of class XI-Commerce was an eye opener.
The students who had 100% attendance in the session 2010-11 were awarded by Sr. Meera. The day was also special for the winners in various competitions organized by International Olympiad for English Language (IOEL), Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) who were suitably awarded.
