Youth Festival - 2008

The Youth Festival - 2008 was celebrated with great zeal. The festival gives an opportunity to a large number of students to participate in numerous activities an unleash their talents.  Our jubilee year witnessed more than 500 participant in all the activities taken together.  The number itself shows the zeal and vigour in the children who like young birds are eager to stretch their wings to try their strength.  the festival was held on 25th July for classes VI - VIII and on 26th July for classes IX-XII. It was inaugurated by Sr. Gracy, our honorable Principal, who appreciated the students for their active participation.

The Juniors (VI-VIII) reverberated the audience by manifesting themselves through sinuous dances, alluring songs, sagacious speeches in English as well as in Hindi, Mimicry, Advertisement and Instrumental Music.  St. Joseph's also witnessed the outstanding R.J.'S and Newsreaders in its senior group.  The hilarious mimics the rhythmic dances, the mellifluous singers and awesome instrument players measured the audience.

Open competition like Mehandi designing sandwich and Rangoli making was organized on 19th July for the senior and surprisingly we had a good number of male participants which is quite commendable.

Our prodigious debates from IX-XII arguments on 'There are more job opportunities abroad than in India on 28th July.  A 'Talk show' on 'Inflation' by XI-XII commerce students on 15th August equally riveted us.

On the whole, the festival proceed very beneficial in bringing out dormant talents of the young students.  It also helped in making them 'audience free' and infused them with a confidence which will definitely reach them for ahead in future.
